WeekPact is an independently operated app for shared pacts and weekly check-ins. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected]. “WeekPact,” “we” and “us” refer to the app’s operator.
Information we use
- Account information: your email address, authentication records and display name let you sign in and use your account. Your password is handled by our authentication provider.
- Optional profile information: you may add a surname and profile photo. Photos are resized and re-encoded before upload; the app does not need access to your entire photo library.
- Check-in photos: a new check-in requires a camera photo. The app crops it to a portrait frame and re-encodes it without embedded location metadata before uploading it to private storage. You and current members of the crew can view the photo.
- Crew activity: crew membership, invitations, pacts, check-ins and dates support shared progress and streaks. Crew timezone determines the days and weeks used for progress.
- Optional notifications: if you enable them, we store a device push token, platform, account/session association and delivery records to send crew activity updates.
- Product measurement: we record account creation, crew creation, invitation creation and acceptance, first check-in, and weekly check-in/return events in our private database. These records use internal account and crew identifiers rather than names, emails, or pact text. They help us understand setup completion and whether crews return.
- Optional crash reports: if you enable Share crash reports in Account, Google Firebase Crashlytics receives device/app information and error stack traces to help us fix failures. We do not attach your account identifier, name, invitation links, or pact content to these reports. This setting starts off.
- Technical and support information: our service providers may process IP addresses, request logs and diagnostic information to run and protect the service. If you contact us, we receive the information you include.
Who can see your information
Crew members can see information needed for shared activity, including member email addresses, pacts and check-ins. A verified invitation recipient can preview the invited crew’s members and pacts before joining. Notifications may show a member’s display name and pact activity on a recipient’s lock screen. Profile photos are stored in a private bucket and are available to the uploader and their fellow crew members. A share invitation lets anyone holding its unexpired link join the crew; the owner can replace or revoke it.
Supabase provides authentication, database and photo storage. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers optional push notifications. Amazon SES sends crew invitation emails. Account verification and password-reset emails use the configured authentication email service. Google processes support messages sent to our Gmail address. Providers process information needed to deliver these services and may process it outside your country.
Your choices
Profile photo and surname are optional. Camera permission is needed to create a photo check-in; you can still browse the app without it. You can disable notifications in Account → Notifications or in your device settings. Optional crash reporting can be switched off in Account → Share crash reports. You can leave a crew, and you can request access to or correction of your information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to portability, restriction or objection, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
We use information to provide the service you request, maintain its security and respond to support requests. Optional photo access and push permissions are under your control. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising tracking.
Account deletion and retention
Choose Account → Delete account in the app. This is also available during profile setup. After confirming with your password, your account and associated live app data are deleted, including your profile and check-in photos, memberships, check-ins, invitations and notification registrations.
Pacts you created are deleted too, including other members’ check-ins attached to those pacts. If you own a crew, ownership passes to its longest-standing remaining member. If no members remain, the crew is deleted. Deletion cannot be undone. Finalized weekly crew totals and achievements contain no member identifiers and remain for the crew while it exists; they are not recalculated when someone leaves or deletes an account. Account-linked product measurement events are deleted with the account.
Undoing a check-in schedules its photo for deletion. Unsubmitted uploads are removed by a background cleanup process after 24 hours. Photos associated with deleted pacts or crews are also scheduled for deletion. Information is otherwise retained while needed to operate your account and the service. Backups, security logs and support correspondence may remain for their applicable retention periods or where legally required; these are not restored into an active account as part of ordinary use. Contact us for questions about retained records. Leaving a crew alone does not delete your account or historical check-ins.
